Mothers Day Girl

I had such a GREAT Mothers Day weekend. Saturday Brian and I ran in our stakes fun run. Since Brian sprained his ankle a couple months ago, he hasn't been running. At the last minute he decided he would just run with me (since I pose no great speed challenge). Rian and Aunt Sherie tended the girls at the bowery. Anyway,  once we actually started the race, I hardly saw Brian. Needless to say, he took first running 3 miles in 18 minutes and 33 seconds. I like to brag on him because he is always fast and always does so good in races. So much for taking it easy on his ankle. Anyway, Kenni ran with me at the beginning then she came and met me a few blocks away from the finish and ended it with me. It was cute. Then they had breakfast for us. We went home and all piled onto the 4wheeler and went for a ride. Then later in the afternoon I took pictures of Dave and Karianne and family.
Sunday we got up and went to church (they handed out a cd of Emma's Favorite Hymns which I thought was great and fun to have something different than a flower). After church we got home and Brian made a delicious dinner for us that consisted of pork chops, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn on the cob, and green salad. It was so nice having someone cook me dinner! Then they all cleaned it up afterwards! It was great. The girls got the me cutest gifts they made at school. They are pictured below. I just loved Rian's idea of my favorite tv show. The cookbook from Kenni's class is SOO funny. The recipes from the kids are hilarious.  I loved my gifts from them. Kenni kept calling me the Mothers Day girl.  Brian, Graci and Shelby gave me a new lense for my camera. It should get here Thursday and I am excited to get using it.
(by the way, I am not really good at drawing. and I find it funny she thinks I love to cook.)
