Happenings

I found some pictures on Brian's phone that I thought would be fun to post. Everyone got to go to a BYU football game this season. First one Brian took Rian, second one he took Kenni and Graci

The night of the very last home game we went bowling (Shelby's first time. And she beat me! I ended up dead last)

Then we went to the game. It didn't start until 8 that night and as you can see, was VERY  VERY cold.

Brian's Dad came to sit with us too.

This was Thanksgiving when we all went for a walk after dinner to make room for pie.
Shelby and Kenzlee are very best friends.

DC

Okay, so these pictures are 8 months old. Just getting around to posting about the second half of our trip back east last May. Washington D.C.!

Our hotel room

I LOVED Mt. Vernon. I could totally see myself living there back in the day.
Geoge Washington really enjoyed the finer things and was very particular with his grounds and home.

The Slaves quarters

His Tomb

The Kennedy's

Tomb of the unknown soldiers

There were a lot of veterans there that day.

Nations Capitol

Ford's Theatre

White House. No presidential sitings however even though it looked very busy
and guards everywhere

More photos

I realized I never posted any pictures of my good friend Chantelle and her family. She lives about 2 miles away and she is one of the best cowgirls I've ever seen. You can see her every year on her gorgeous horse carrying the USA flag around the arena in the Genola rodeo. Anyway, we took pictures then went to a hoedown and "got down and jiggy with it"

Lady Witch and Medals

The kids got a surprise visit this year from Lady Witch!
They loved it.

Lady Witch even let them try on her hair.

My dad participated in the Huntsman World Senior Games! He ran a 10K and a 5K. We were able to be in St. George and cheer him on for his 10K. He took the gold medal in his age group with a time of 59 minutes!
Here he is the morning of.

He was a bit tired afterwards.

And the Gold Medal!

Carl snapped this picture during his 5K, where he took the Bronze!

Grandpa Mel, YOU ROCK!

Cosmo and Costumes

Saturday we went to the last home game of the season for BYU Womens soccer. It was so much fun! Our kids are really getting into soccer which is great because I think its an Awesome sport for girls. Cosmo came and visited! Sadly, Shelby had to take a trip to the honeybucket and he showed up right after we left. BYU played hard but unfortunately San Diego beat them 1-0.

Halloween! This is what they looked like on their way to the school parade.

Round Two-just before trick or treating. Kenni switched to a skeleton, Shelby to an elephant, and Scarlett joined us for the evening while Rian was with a friend.

Hope yours was as hauntingly satisfying as ours was!

Long Time No Write

I really wanted to keep up on this for my journal writing but alas, life gets in the way. So I will try to do a little catch-up. The most n...
