Shelby

My sweet little Shelby is not a baby anymore. She is talking so much and is doing things so much faster than the other girls did. Maybe it is because she has 3 older teachers that she mimics everything they do. It is just funny because her hair isn't growing very fast so she still looks babyish. Today I was in the kitchen at the sink and she comes in and said "scuse me mommy." Then she opened up the cupboard to the garbage and took her gum she had been chewing all morning and threw it in the garbage. Then she likes to say what Graci does. They will say "mommy" and I say "what" and then they say "nevermind".
She gets very sad when Graci goes to preschool. In fact, last week she cried almost the whole time she was gone and kept saying her name. Anyway, she is my sweety and I love her. She sleeps with Brian and I every night and I love snuggling her because she loves to snuggle. I just enjoy it because she won't want to snuggle her mom forever.
We locked in an interest rate today so our house HAS to be done by Nov. 8th. They finally started sheetrock today. I feel like we have been running around like chickens with no heads lately trying to make sure we had everything ready.

Does anyone else like Google Chrome? I use it all the time. I like it a lot better than Internet Explorer especially when I want to download something.

Projects

One reason I can't wait to get in my house is so I can start on some projects again. My friend built herself this bed and matching nightstands from this site that has a ton of great ideas. It turned out great and it has so many possibilities as far as colors go. I am for sure going to build one for myself or a twin size for my girls or something.
Another thing I want to perfect is my photography. I have a blog that you all can see. It has nothing on it right now, but I will post pictures on it very soon. I don't have time right now to make a cutesy website or fancy schmancy blog, so I am just going to have a basic one that I can just post them on. It is called http://capture-your-moment.blogspot.com/

We have been working working working every day up there. Finishing electrical and doing some odds and ends in the basement so we can sheetrock that too.

Sunflowers

Rian and Kenni fell asleep early one night so Graci and Shelby had some fun together.
I haven't spent much time with my camera lately, and I decided I need to devote time everyday to it.
Here are some I took today that I really like.

This weeks happenings

Here is a picture of Brian's Dads horse King. They just sold him. They decided they have way too many horses to ride and feed. I am trying to decide if I should buy one to ad to our own little herd. Between his parents and ours we have 8 now. It was kind of sad to see him go. I was actually the last one in the family to ride him. That was a week ago. Brian Graci and I were riding one evening and a car stopped. A lady who is a photographer hopped out with her "subject" and asked if they could borrow a horse for their shoot. You can see a couple she took if you click here. They used Missy. Isn't she photogenic? Maybe I will have Brian take my picture with her.

I was down in our bedroom one day folding clothes and I heard noises and looked up and saw my Tiger and her babies staring back longingly. Did I ever mention that she delivered her little brood in our bedroom? Believe me, I didn't invite her. I walk in one day and heard little noises and instantly knew what it was because I knew she would be having them any day. I didn't know she snuck into our room. Luckily, she was mostly nestled in my box of winter clothes that I am using for a nightstand at the moment. Snow clothes wash pretty easy. Anyway, I thought it was a cute picture. I always hated cats. Until I found my Tiger.

We have been working and working and working on our house all week. One of Brians relatives who lives here in town is an electrician and he is being so wonderful to come and do it for us. Brian and I have been helping him a lot. The main floor is practically done and we should finish up with the basement tomorrow. It is funny because a lot of creatures are already moving into our house. The heating guys killed 2 bats one day, and just this afternoon we had a whole lot of fun with a squirrel in the basement. We went up there today and we had Bo come with us. (my little poodle) He was wandering around and when he walked past a box, it made noises. After a few minutes, we figured it was a squirrel. Brian (the big wimp. If you knew how many mice I have had to kill for him you would laugh) sent me over to move the box. He was standing clear over in the other room. I moved the box and the little guy sat still for a second. Then Bo moved towards him and so he took off running right in my direction. I dropped the box and screamed and the girls screamed and Brian was laughing and running around trying to catch him all the while Bo was chasing him all over the basement. Anyway, to make a long story short, he finally escaped and we had a good laugh about it. So, all these critters are enjoying our house before we get to.

Cock a doodle doo

Uncle Neal has a rooster that my girls LOVE to play with. He likes you if you feed him and hold him and rub his neck. He will attack you every now and then though but it doesn't really hurt. He fell asleep in my lap one day.

School and Pictures I have forgotten

Yesterday was the first day of school for Rian and Kenni. Graci started preschool today! They were all so excited and it is so nice to live in a place where the bus stop can be right in front of your house! Graci goes to school at Aunt Laverns house through the field so that is nice and close too. At least until we move anyway.
They have our roof on! Shingles go on next week sometime and exterior stuff in the next week and a half.

A Couple weeks ago the girls and I spent 5 days in St. George at mom and dads. Mom taught the girls how to sew! Here are a few pictures of them practicing. They each made a pillowcase. I need to take a picture of their finished projects. They loved it.

My cowgirls! Kenni is getting so good and brave on horses! She insists on doing everything herself now.
I thought I had pictures of Rian as well but she must have escaped my camera.

Shelby is telling her dad the she does NOT want to get off
Mangum boys and Van Gils kids all went for a ride after Rians Baptism. They had a great time!
This is Kim and Carl's Christmas card for this year

Yellowstone

Last week we had the 3rd Annual Ewell Family Reunion. This year it was in Island Park and Yellowstone. We had a great time! I haven't been to Yellowstone since I was little so I was really excited to go.
We got to our lodge on Monday, Tuesday we went to Big Springs in Island Park and a few things around town, Wednesday and Thursday in Yellowstone, and Friday we took a trip up to Quake Lake. (That was very interesting if anyone wants to research it) We got back yesterday. Candice and family tended Beau and we had some of Brian's cousins tend Phoebe and the kitties. (I have 7, you know). I LOVED Yellowstone. My only disappointment was that we didn't get to see a bear in the wild. I really wanted to. However, we really enjoyed all the other wildlife and gorgeous country that is up there. We had a great time with the whole family. Tie dying shirts, craft night, games, hot tub, and funny things that happened like the power to the lodge getting turned off because the bill wasn't paid. It was pretty amusing. Maybe not so much at the time, but now it is. To top off a great week, we came home to find our basement all framed!

This was one of my favorite places. I took about 217 pictures of the waterfall.
This cute little guy was eating an ice cream cone while enjoying the grandeur of Old Faithful.

My Cute little Kenni. We all thought the hot  pots were great
Another waterfall picture

Shelby Loved the water
The Johnny Sack cabin. I think thats his name.
The Bison were soooo cool! I could have watched them for hours.
Notice Kenni and Graci plugging their noses?
Waterfall
We have a ton of photos of this guy. He had just gotten done rolling around in the dirt.
We saw lots of Elk.
We loved Island Park but next time I want to stay in Yellowstone to spend more time there. It was a great week!

Baptism Day

We had such a great day today at Rian's Baptism. It was so fun to see her and have a bunch of family and friends here.

Farm Girl

Rian is now old enough to help out her dad a lot.I think she looks so cute out there.

Long Time No Write

I really wanted to keep up on this for my journal writing but alas, life gets in the way. So I will try to do a little catch-up. The most n...
