More photos

I realized I never posted any pictures of my good friend Chantelle and her family. She lives about 2 miles away and she is one of the best cowgirls I've ever seen. You can see her every year on her gorgeous horse carrying the USA flag around the arena in the Genola rodeo. Anyway, we took pictures then went to a hoedown and "got down and jiggy with it"

Lady Witch and Medals

The kids got a surprise visit this year from Lady Witch!
They loved it.

Lady Witch even let them try on her hair.

My dad participated in the Huntsman World Senior Games! He ran a 10K and a 5K. We were able to be in St. George and cheer him on for his 10K. He took the gold medal in his age group with a time of 59 minutes!
Here he is the morning of.

He was a bit tired afterwards.

And the Gold Medal!

Carl snapped this picture during his 5K, where he took the Bronze!

Cosmo and Costumes

Saturday we went to the last home game of the season for BYU Womens soccer. It was so much fun! Our kids are really getting into soccer which is great because I think its an Awesome sport for girls. Cosmo came and visited! Sadly, Shelby had to take a trip to the honeybucket and he showed up right after we left. BYU played hard but unfortunately San Diego beat them 1-0.

Halloween! This is what they looked like on their way to the school parade.

Round Two-just before trick or treating. Kenni switched to a skeleton, Shelby to an elephant, and Scarlett joined us for the evening while Rian was with a friend.

Hope yours was as hauntingly satisfying as ours was!

This has been under construction for the past 2 months or so. But hey, at least it has 1 or 2 posts on it now. Still a work in progress.

Snickers!

We got a little pony! His name is Snickers. He is a bite size snickers. We love him! The girls have a blast with him. It is sooo cute to see him out with the big horses. He sometimes has to run to keep up with them and his little legs run so fast it is the cutest thing.

Cheerleading!

Even with all their cheers, Payson still lost

Hairdo's by Kenni

All 4 of my kids love to watch the hairstyle videos on adopt a do
They watch them over and over and over. Kenni was in her room a long time one day then came out and showed me a video she just made on her ipod. I thought it was so cute. I sent the link to Mindy (the mom on that site that does all the hair) and she commented on her video! Here is the link and you can scroll down a bit to see her comment. http://youtu.be/pF-XucN143M

I did it!

Bright and early ready to leave at 5 am
Don't we look chipper?

Our cheerleading squad. Minus one. Mom was behind the camera.
It is a great route. Down Hobble Creek Canyon. Very pretty and a fun place to run. It ends at Mapleton City Park.

We forgot to tell mom where the car and camera was so we didn't get a picture of Brian coming in with a time of 1:20! Thats an average of 6 minutes 11 seconds per mile!
We got one of Carl though! I think he was around 1:40 which was 7 something minutes per mile. I hope to someday maybe reach 8???

Mile 11-12 was the hardest for me. I just wanted it over at that point. However, my adrenalin kicked in a bit more when Brian and Kenni came to find me. My little runner girl stayed with me for a bit.

See that guy in the white shirt behind me? We passed each other the whole race about 15 times. I wasn't about to let him beat me.

We passed a guy  around mile 7 or so with a shirt on that said " i thought this was a 5k?" I was wishing that was the case at this point. This was about the 12.5 ish mark.

Getting to the 13 mile sign was a great feeling except I had to keep going! That .1 of a mile was tough!  By the way, Kim was right behind me about 1 minute. She had to stop and stretch for a second but I knew if I stopped I wasn't starting again so I had to keep on going.

ALMOST THERE!

I finished with a 2:13 and Kim a 2:14. Not too bad for my first one but I know we can do it faster next go round.
Oh ya, LOVE the RUNNING SKIRT! Very comfy, cool, zero chafing. Check em out.

All female finishers got a flower. aaahhh.
It was a long road to get there, and now thinking about it I can't believe I ran 13.1 miles!  With no walking! (that was my goal too) Never did I ever think I would be ready. All that hard work paid off! Thanks to my man coaching me and telling me I can do it when I kept telling myself I can't do it. I finally just gave up and started listening to him.

Little side note: People cheering for you, strangers and family, really helps! At least for me anyway.

First day of school!

1 Week left

Only one week left until This:

EEEK!

Brian, Kim, Carl and myself are all signed up.
Luckily, I have an excellent coach for a husband because I do not have enough willpower to do all the training we have done all summer alone.
Our last long run was yesterday, so now it is maintenance and recovery for the next 6 days!

Oh ya, watch for a new running+everything else blog to be coming soon!

Long Time No Write

I really wanted to keep up on this for my journal writing but alas, life gets in the way. So I will try to do a little catch-up. The most n...
