Peep Peep Moo Moo

We have lived in our new house for about 3 1/2 months now. I have recently come to realize something. Despite the distance the miles puts between me and most of my favorites such as In n Out, Costco, Ikea, I really love living on a farm. Not only do I have a lovely apple orchard out my front door, I also get to nourish, pet, and love a variety of animalkind.

Here is what calls our place "home":
                                                                                   2 of these. 1 black, 1 white

Several of These Kickin around:

We have a good handful  barnful of these uninvited quests:

we wouldn't mind them so much if they didn't make such
a mess of everything or everyone below them.

Who can forget an occasional one of these?

Here are our newest additions:

we have 5 of these "handsome Brutes" as Casey calls them. I told him
its because they take after their Uncle.

Now, I have always wanted a rooster. Never really thought seriously of hens
until Casey decided to get some for eggs. We thought, why not?
We now have 6  !  They are babies living in a box under a light on
my kitchen counter. We have a coop coming, and dont worry,
I WILL be getting a rooster.

Like their cute little corral I put them in while cleaning their box?
The girls Love them to peeps pieces.

Maybe someday we will add a few bunnies to the mix. Or perhaps,
One of these?

How about this?

You never know. The Sky's the limit at our house!

Yes, I believe there will be all of those on the Horsinaround ranch.
As well as the beautiful pheasants I hear but don't see.

I love them all!! How about adding some kitties?!! I think it would be so fun to live on a farm and have all sorts of animals. I was telling Jared I would like to have some chickens to get eggs. Peacocks would be fun too!

I think we are going to get chickens too.. :) We have thought about trying rabbits, but I am having a hard time coming to terms with having to slaughter, then eat them!!! They are just too cute and fuzzy!

Long Time No Write

I really wanted to keep up on this for my journal writing but alas, life gets in the way. So I will try to do a little catch-up. The most n...
