I know this may seem silly but it is really bugging me today.
I have known for several years that these people travel around and sell artwork for really cheap. As far as I know, they only go to each location once a year. I know they go to St. George, and SL, and I dont know where else. But I have only seen them come once a year. Last year I forgot to go. So, last night I saw a commercial that they were in SL today. So, I decided to go up. We are going to be starting on building our house soon and I am going to have a lot of bare walls to fill up. So I really wanted to go get something. Brian thought about going with me but decided to stay home and work here. So me and the girls went. I took the truck so I could bring something really big home. That was what I was looking for. My mom has this gorgeous painting in her house that is really big. That is what I want. So we get there and they had little 8x10s and I let the girls each choose one for their new rooms. Then I see one that is a nice size but not quite as big as I want. But I loved it so I got that too. Then I saw one that I fell in love with and it was as big as my mom's and so I got it. Then I went over to the other side of the room to pick out a frame for it. Found a perfect one and they mounted it for me and everything. (these are all for really great prices). SO I buy them and we leave and it is raining outside. I had brought a blanket to cover it up with and I left the girls in the hotel where it was and ran out to get it. Got it all covered up and we all ran out to load up. I realized as we were getting to the truck that it was light enough that it would probably blow out of the bed on the freeway. (we had a bad experience once with a bathtub so I am pretty nervous with things flying out of the bed) I didn't have any tiedowns with me or anything heavy enough to keep it down without damaging it. So I tried to put it in the cab but to no avail. It just didn't fit. It was really big all framed and everything. BY this time it was pouring rain, the painting was getting wet, Shelby was crying, I couldn't get a hold of Brian to ask him what to do, so I made the decision of taking it back in and returning it. I had to lock all the girls in the truck which I never do and run with it because I couldn't watch them and keep them dry and keep the picture dry or from blowing out of my hands because it was really windy to. So, I only came home with the smaller painting and the ones the girls chose. I get home and Brian thought of all these other solutions that could of worked but I didn't think of any and so now I am mad and it has been bugging me all day long because I could have had it (I loved it so) and now I will probably have to wait for a whole other year to get those prices again. I really wanted one to put up on my wall when we first move in. I have several big paintings but not that big or nicely framed like that. hmmmphhh. Argh. And to top it off, it is snowing again.

That sucks! Maybe the one in St. George will be soon and they'll have the same one :)
