Summer

Its finally Summer! We've been having fun with these cute little puppies.

Shelby graduated from Preschool!

Last year we heard on the news about fireflies in Utah. They were spotted out at Warm Springs. We never saw any last year when we went looking. A couple weeks ago Brian contacted the professor at BYU who wrote the article about them and we learned how and where to look for them and this year we were successful! They start flashing about 40 minutes after sunset.  It was a really fun activity for the kids!

Memorial weekend we visited graves with Grandma and Grandpa. We soon discovered that cemeteries and Kort are not a good combination. I hope we got the flowers and pinwheels put back to the correct headstones.

Rian also reached a milestone by graduating from 6th grade! She is excited (with a little bit of nervousness) for Jr. High!

Spring

We've had a very busy spring this year. Last Wednesday Candice and I left for St. George to be with Mom and Dad while she had her back fusion surgery.

We took these three with us:

We stayed until Saturday night. The surgery went very well but Mom has really had a rough time from the pain and medications afterwards. We all took turns tending kids and being with her in the room. She went home last night and she is actually able to get a lot of good rest now, thankfully.

We put the cows out in the pasture. They were as happy as we were!

Today I am sick so I am using my time in bed to post photos.
We also played midwife to Cabela who had 10 puppies today! She had 11 but one was stillborn. 4 are chocolate, 6 are black.

We are also wrapping up the school year, clogging, and soccer season. Along with yard work and other projects.

Spring

The first week of February we headed south and dropped the kids off at mom and dads then we headed to Vegas to see George Strait with our friends Thane and Suzanne. It was a ton of fun except we forgot to take any pictures with them this year.

It was so nice to escape the cold for a few days and it is ALWAYS great to see George. We also bought another dog a couple weeks before our trip. She was in Cedar City so I had asked Kim and Carl to go get her for me. We brought her home that weekend. She is a sweet, darling dog and her name is Cabela.

Over Valentines weekend the kids and I took another trip to St. George because Rian's soccer team was in the  Presidents Cup tournament in Mesquite. Brian stayed home to take care of some cow business. Brian wrecked (and totaled) his car. So we rented one for the trip then afterwards came home and bought a new one. Rian went and got her hair done so she could "tear it up" on the soccer field.

Kort loves to vacuum. I love that he loves it.

We had two baby calves born in January. Both are girls. One poked her eye somehow a couple days after she was born so we had to doctor her up but she is all better now.

We were on our way home one day and came upon a pig crossing the road. It was really funny.

Kort loves everything about the outdoors and his dad. He especially loves to ride on anything that moves. Tractor, horse, 4-wheeler, barbie jeep.

Our niece Lindsey got married last Saturday. It was a day filled with pink and glittery gold and good food and fun.

We took advantage of the nice weather this weekend and completed the firepit we started last fall.
We had our first marshmallow roast tonight and it was a blast.

Shelby and Kort "took a ride to Vegas" while we built the fire pit.

Thanksgiving

We sure a enjoyed a nice sunny Holiday. The whole family got together so it was a lot of fun and we even fit in a Christmas Party.

We were very happy to be able to spend some time with my Aunt. She passed away 5 days later.

We also celebrated Shelby and Graci, and Camilles birthdays in December. The big 5 and 8 and 9!

We had a really fun Christmas weekend. Kim and Carl came the friday before and we went to dinner and also the Sacred Gifts exhibit at BYU which was awesome. I highly recommend you go if you haven't already. I think it runs through May and you have to reserve tickets online. Then Saturday Brian took the kids sledding,  took the horses to the arena, and later that night went to dinner again. Sunday morning was church of course then Kim and Carl left for their condo in Midway. On Christmas Eve Mom, Dad, Candice, Gary and family arrived and Kim and Carl decided they can't miss a party so they came back as week and we ate and played and watched a Christmas show. Christmas morning came and went quickly. Everyone was happy with the gifts Santa left.
A few weeks later Graci was baptized!
Kenni gave a talk on baptism.

Its hard to see in this next photo but I made cute little stickers with her picture on them for hershey kisses.

We were smart this time and reserved the church to eat afterward.

It was a fun day for these 3 friends!

Kort went for a ride on the mountain with us. He loved every second then fell asleep.

This next one is a funny picture because if you notice our escape artist Roxy lifting the rope over the pole. She knows how to untie knots so you have to tie them a certain way. Then she learned how to just lift it up over. Once she is loose she goes over to a bale of hay.

Long Time No Write

I really wanted to keep up on this for my journal writing but alas, life gets in the way. So I will try to do a little catch-up. The most n...
