George

Thanks to some great friends Thane and Suzanne we once again were able to head south to see the King of Country. He is my favorite country singer and so i just love being able to go see him. We left Thursday after the kids got out of school. I realized it was the first drive down that Shelby did not cry the last hour. Friday we had fun just hanging out a bit. Brian and Dad took the girls and Bo down to see the river. Later in the afternoon we took the kids over to Kims house to play and Kim, Brian and I went shopping. I thought it was very fun the 3 of us hanging out in Old Navy and my favorite store down here, Urban Wear. Then we met up with the kids and Carl and Mom and Dad and went out to eat. Then we dropped kids off and left Christian in charge and us grown-ups went to a movie. Saturday morning we got up early and Brian went running then we left for Vegas. we stopped to see my good friend Jill while we were down there. Then, we checked in our hotel. This is the first time we have been able to go to the concert and stay the night as well. All the other times we have had babies we needed to get home to so we always just drove home after. We stayed at MGM Grand where the concert was. Our room was really nice. It was a modern room and it even had a tv in the bathroom mirror! I thought it was fun.
We walked around hung out a bit then went to dinner with the Thane and Suzanne. Then it was concert time. It was the same show as last year. LeeAnn Womack, Reba, and of course, George! It was awesome as always.
This afternoon we are back in St. George and we are getting some treats prepared for the big game. We will stay until tomorrow. We want to soak up as much vitamin D as possible before we go back to the cold.

New Bike

Rian won a bike at school in the drawing for her reading. We took it today so she could do her Victory lap around the school! How fun is that???

Fun with the cousins

We don't have many pictures this week. I never stopped to take the time to pull out the camera. We had Matt and Camille for about 10 days while Kim, Carl, Marcus, Christian, Mom and Dad went to Guatemala.
We had lots of fun and the girls loved having some extra friends around.
Kids went sledding, played with dogs, rode horses, went to a BYU basketball game, did crafts, played wii, etc.  Brian turned Matt into a lumberjack and pooper scooper.  We had a couple "all nighters". Well, we started a couple anyway. Matt lasted the longest. One night most kids fell asleep at 11, Brian 12, me at 1 and Matt stayed up till 4.
We went to the Bean museum one day and so I snapped a few pics with my phone. I feel bad I didn't document any more of our fun week.

The only bad part of the week was Kenni got really sick. She missed 3 days of school. I don't know what it was, but it happened to her once when she was about two. She got about 4 cold sores all over her lips and cankers and sores all throughout her mouth. She was pretty miserable. As you can kind of see in the pictures.

Christmas and then some

We pulled out the playstation for a little karaoke Christmas Eve.

This is a little video of some of the fun we have been having in the snow. Forgive the bumpiness. I was riding on back of 4 wheeler

Here are my snowy pictures

See that little black thing? That is Bo trying to run to me

Kids having some fun

We had a great Christmas. Mom and dad came up Thursday. Christmas Eve Brians parents and Mike and Summer, Andrew and Ali joined us as well. Shelby didn't want to wake up too early Christmas morning so the older girls got a bit impatient. They were happy with what Santa brought.

Brian was very surprised when he got a pitchfork. Well, I guess he was surprised when he found it 2 days earlier while hiding other items. He looks like an excited little boy.

Grandma and the girls

My favorite present. It makes really good hot cocoa. I can't wait to make myself some hazelnut steamed milk.
Made me sad seeing the girls go to the bus stop this morning. I'm excited for summer break! At least Brian has today off still. One of the best things we did in this house is wire for an audio system. We finally got it up and running last week. Sunday morning I turned Pandora on to nice relaxing Sunday music. It was so nice to have it playing throughout the house. It helped calm my nerves for my new calling. Primary chorister. AHHHHH! (I cant sing and I haven't played piano in years, however, I did survive the first day though)
We had a fun new years eve party at Karen and Kelly's house. And it was fun to see Suzanne and Jeff and Ryan as well.
Now that all the parties are over, we are going to build shelves in our storage room, so we can organize the basement. We have our doors ordered for down there and all we need now is baseboards, trim and carpet. Then we are going to start building some beds.

Ode to Our Abode

I love our house. I am so happy to finally be in it. Here are a few pictures of it. I still have a lot of decorating and unpacking to do.

This is the study or office or front room or whatever you want to call it. This is where I picture a piano :)

Kitchen

Shelby and Graci's room

Part of my Christmas village. I still need snow for it. And to locate some people and other houses packed away

Graci, Barbie, Shelby

I dont think this one needs any explanation

Dad coming to the rescue. Ya, we have a lot of mud here. Especially today since it was so warm

Phoebe's pawprint

When we moved here we were down to one kitty. Now we are back up to 3. Here is one of them.

Fabio's New home. We still need to get roxy over here.

Brian saw Bo and Midnight  (one of tigers babies) together digging for the groundhog or whatever they are

Can you see the two pheasants? Where were they a couple weeks ago?

The Front. They still need to paint the hardyboard and now the timbers look different. They need to be stained too.
We finally got our fireplaces up and running! We have a gas one upstairs, and a wood stove in the basement. It is so fun to sit and watch it. I have been spending a lot of time doing that this weekend.  The best part about it is our furnace hasn't kicked on once since we started using it. It heats the whole house!
Another favorite of my house, is my central vacuum. It was kind of a last minute decision but I am so happy I have it.  We had our friends Kory and Misty and their little girl Jettlyn over tonight. They just got married and Misty is from Australia and they are having a very hard time with the cold weather. At least today was a beautiful day.

Long Time No Write

I really wanted to keep up on this for my journal writing but alas, life gets in the way. So I will try to do a little catch-up. The most n...
