Yellowstone

Last week we had the 3rd Annual Ewell Family Reunion. This year it was in Island Park and Yellowstone. We had a great time! I haven't been to Yellowstone since I was little so I was really excited to go.
We got to our lodge on Monday, Tuesday we went to Big Springs in Island Park and a few things around town, Wednesday and Thursday in Yellowstone, and Friday we took a trip up to Quake Lake. (That was very interesting if anyone wants to research it) We got back yesterday. Candice and family tended Beau and we had some of Brian's cousins tend Phoebe and the kitties. (I have 7, you know). I LOVED Yellowstone. My only disappointment was that we didn't get to see a bear in the wild. I really wanted to. However, we really enjoyed all the other wildlife and gorgeous country that is up there. We had a great time with the whole family. Tie dying shirts, craft night, games, hot tub, and funny things that happened like the power to the lodge getting turned off because the bill wasn't paid. It was pretty amusing. Maybe not so much at the time, but now it is. To top off a great week, we came home to find our basement all framed!

This was one of my favorite places. I took about 217 pictures of the waterfall.
This cute little guy was eating an ice cream cone while enjoying the grandeur of Old Faithful.

My Cute little Kenni. We all thought the hot  pots were great
Another waterfall picture

Shelby Loved the water
The Johnny Sack cabin. I think thats his name.
The Bison were soooo cool! I could have watched them for hours.
Notice Kenni and Graci plugging their noses?
Waterfall
We have a ton of photos of this guy. He had just gotten done rolling around in the dirt.
We saw lots of Elk.
We loved Island Park but next time I want to stay in Yellowstone to spend more time there. It was a great week!

Baptism Day

We had such a great day today at Rian's Baptism. It was so fun to see her and have a bunch of family and friends here.

Farm Girl

Rian is now old enough to help out her dad a lot.I think she looks so cute out there.

Timeline

I have never put on any pictures of the progress of our house. It looks different even today. Monday they pour the basement floor and will start framing Tuesday or Wednesday.

Cousins

Saturday was Laurens Baptism. It was really fun for everyone to get all together. I had fun with the camera afterwards at their house.

Crime Fighters

I have a funny story. It revolves around sad events, but this particular instance is really funny to me. Brians aunt who lives through the field here, has been robbed twice in the past week. They took a lot of stuff and kind of trashed the place a bit. Anyway, we have all been a lot more observant with strange cars and things lately. Especially since the first robbery happened in the day.The day after the second time, at 6 am Sunday morning, we here this pounding on the door. Brian runs up to answer it. I could hear Uncle Calvin say "will you come with me" Brian races downstairs and grabs his shoes. I asked him what was up and he says he thinks he has somebody. Off he ran and climbed into Big Red(Calvin's Rhino type thing. You know the side by side 4 wheeler type). Brian was still half asleep.
To make a long story short, the fastest they can go is about 30 mph or something. So they are driving all around town looking for this car he saw that was really suspicious pulling into their driveway slowly then left and going slow. They finally see it pull into someone else's driveway. Brian tells Calvin to hurry and Park behind him so he can't leave. Brian jumps out and yells at him to Stop and What are you Doing? Come to find out, it was the newspaper man! They scared him to death. I really can't stop laughing about it now because I can just picture them in Big Red interrogating this poor man. His backseat was full of newspapers. I was nervous though while they were gone because I wondered what if they caught them, and it was really the people doing it, then what would they do? How could they keep them from running away while one tried to get the cops, or what if they had a gun or something? Anyway, I think it is a really funny story even thought the whole reason for it is pretty scary.

Apolo

So, I think this is pretty darn cool. Apolo lives near Brians work. He runs the Jordan River trail just like Brian. He runs it the same time of day as Brian. They see each other quite regularly and say hello and wave. In fact, Apolo has seen him enough now that he recognizes him. I keep telling Brian he needs to ask him if he wants to join a running group and I will drive up everyday to participate;)
